Meeting Details

Our Host

We are thrilled to be guests at the MIT Stata Center for our first year. Our friends at MIT have done wonders for us. Please contact us at guild_at_commoncod_dot_com for anything more you need that is not addressed on this page. The Stata Center has no information about our meetings - we are simply reserving a room in their facility.

Who

Common Cod Fiber Guild

What

Bi-Monthly Meeting

Bring your knitting, spinning, crocheting or other fiber fun and join us for some interesting speakers about fiber activities. (please do not bring dyeing, we do not want to color the carpet!)

The meetings will consist of about an hour of programming and an hour of social time. The speakers we bring in will be inspirational and informational about many of the fiber activities in Boston, the U.S., and the world. We hope to inspire and encourage our members to explore the many exciting aspects of fiber activities.

The social section of the meetings will include a “show-and-tell” table and a teaching nook. The “show-and-tell” table will give members a chance to show off their new and exciting projects and allow others to ask about those projects. The teaching nook will be an area manned by local LYSs to help people learning a fiber activity or to help those out who are stuck in a project.
