Join the Guild
There are many ways to get involved with the guild, but the best is to become a member! The Common Cod Fiber Guild is a membership-driven organization. An annual individual membership costs $30 (or $25 if you join or renew online!). Membership begins on September 1 and expires August 31. All funds collected are put toward fiber programming, education, and charities in the Boston/Cambridge area. Membership entitles you to attend Guild meetings for free and to receive member discounts on Cod-sponsored events and classes and in various LYSs and independent online shops. If you pay the $6 guest fee at a meeting and become a member by the end of the meeting, your guest fee will count towards your guild membership. We cannot count guest fees from previous meetings towards guild membership.Membership is seasonal, meaning that no matter when you join, your membership is good until the end of the season in August. For this reason, we stop taking new memberships after our 4th meeting of the season in March, and start taking memberships for the next season at our last (July) meeting. We feel it’s not fair to new members to join only for a couple of meetings when everyone else gets to reap the benefits for the better part of a year.
Membership has closed for the 2016-17 season; check back in July 2017 to join for the 2017-18 season!
