Bristol Ivy brings her fibery goodness back to the Common Cod next week (November 10 and 11, 2017). It’s not her first time at the Guild… do you remember…
In 2014, Guild members and FiberCampers enjoyed many of Bristol’s designs at the Handknit Runway, organized by Julia Farwell-Clay. As a matter of fact, the Thorn shawl that Bristol’s wearing inspired a Guild knit along (KAL in knitter lingo). As I recall, there were at least 10 finished Thorns shared at show and tell.
Bristol will speak at the Friday November 10, 2017 Guild meeting near Harvard Square. She’s also teaching two classes on Saturday (which are almost full as I write).
Saturday morning is all about the delightful details on finishing, aka“Knitting with Refinement.” Saturday afternoon, Bristol jumps into “Shawl Shapes.”
Friday night’s talk and the Saturday classes take place at the Friends Meeting House in Cambridge (Harvard Square red line T stop). On Friday night, doors open at 5 Longfellow Park at 6:30 with the meeting beginning at 7pm on November 10.
Who’s bringing something knit or inspired by a Bristol pattern?
