Yarnings are yarn yearnings. What do you want to be enabled to acquire? What has you really inspired?

I have managed to avoid yarnings for sometime. You see, Amanda, your intrepid treasurer, and I are on a virtuous yarn diet. We are not buying yarn UNLESS it is for a specific project, or we are at some kind of fiber festival.* However, dear readers, last week Webs sent me (and probably some/most/all? of you) a CATALOG full of yarnings (link here) and I am having trouble sustaining myself on stash alone.

I knew I could turn to you for comfort. Here’s the thing I want the most. The yarn is called Arranmore. It’s made in Ireland and offered by the Fibre Company which is cool, but it’s  the fiber content that is driving me to distraction. Arranmore is 80% Merino, 10% Silk, and 10% Cashmere. I want it all in every color, NOW! I really want to make the St. Brendan Icelandic Style pullover with that yarn. BUT I’M NOT. Going. To. Get. It. YET.

Rhinebeck is coming, and I want to see if I can find some yarn that would work there first (see above yarnfest fiber diet loophole). So what has you inspired? Is anyone else trying to decrease the stash?

*Note from Amanda: for the record, I tend to play fast and loose with the definition of “fiber festival”…
