Good, so are we!  Your intrepid FiberCamp planning committee has been working round the clock to bring you the swaggiest swag bags, the floofiest fiber and the most engaging classes that very little money can buy.  Still haven’t registered for FiberCamp? For goodness sake,  do it now!

Street Entrance on Amherst St

Alright, for those of you who may be first timers, or for non-local driving type of fiber fanatics.  I thought we should talk about the “how to get there” part of FiberCamp.  FiberCamp is held at the Tang Center (Building E51 for MIT people).  Above is the street view on Amherst Street.

  • This is NOT THE SAME LOCATION AS THE FRIDAY NIGHT MEETINGS which happen at Stata Center.  Sorry to go caps lock on you, I just don’t want you to be stressed out, rushing to go to Stata first and then realize we are all at the Tang Center having fun without you. I’m glad we had this talk.
  • If you are driving, and you plan on using GPS, the best address to use for the Tang Center is 2 Amherst St, Cambridge MA.  The official address is 70 Memorial Dr.  Also confusing,  I encourage you to NOT use the Memorial Dr. address as it is nowhere near the parking lot.
  • There is free parking, and you may use it all weekend long! We have permission to use this lot for the weekend despite the signage.
  • Go past the bike rack on Amherst St and then turn into the parking lot.

Turn beyond the street lamp, sorry for the dark picture!

Non-car-ish people, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered too!  The Tang Center is located a short walk away from the Kendall/MIT stop on the Red Line. There will be buses running from Park St to Kendall on Saturday, so make sure and give yourself plenty of time to maximize fiber frolicking. Here’s a map just in case.   Can’t wait to get FiberCampy with you!
