July is the end of our first guild season year and we have two exciting events in two days. It’s been an amazing year and July is action packed
Dyed In The Wool
Friday July 10, 7-9pm, MIT Stata Center, Cambridge
Barbara Parry is coming to talk to us at our July Meeting about her amazing color work. She is the owner of Foxfire Fiber and Design at Springdelle Farm in Shelburne, MA. Her time tending to Border Leicester and Cormo sheep in western MA has given her a unique and wondrous insight on the nature of fiber and given her lots of inspiration for her line of fiber, yarn, and patterns.
Barbara has also recently released Teach Yourself VISUALLY Hand-Dyeing. This book has a huge amount of knowledge and great step by step photos for those interested in hand-dyeing. She will be signing copies of this book after meeting, there will be copies available for purchase as well.
Boston Handmade Marketplace
Saturday July 11, 3-7pm, Union Square, Somerville
If you are a fan of knitting in public and craft markets… come join us at the Boston Handmade Marketplace the day after the meeting. We will have a tent and some tables space and will be demonstrating our passion for fiber arts/crafts. Drop by and hang out with us.
