Time and a sense of Place
We’ve got the sense that time flies by, because Whoosh, here we are getting ready for Friday night’s guild meeting.
May 8, 2009 7 pm MIT Room 54-100 (we’ll have a greeter downstairs by the elevator).
Lewis Hines traveled the US, documenting the status of child workers in textile mills during the early 20th Century. Nearly 100 years later, Scott Lapham traced Hines’ steps in Rhode Island. Andrian Paquette shares these two viewpoints across time in his slideshow for the guild. The slide show is based on the exhibit funded by the National Endowment of the Arts “American Masters” program, which was on display in 2008.
See you there!
